Flights
Direct Flights
Scotland has excellent direct air links with many key European and North American cities, including flag carrier and low-cost options.
Major International Airports
The busiest international airports in Scotland are Edinburgh and Glasgow, each located approximately 10 miles from their respective city centres and around 50 miles from one another.
Regional Airports
Most UK and some European cities are served from Aberdeen Airport. Be aware that ‘Glasgow Prestwick Airport’ is not ‘Glasgow Airport’- in fact, it’s not even in Glasgow! But what’s 30 miles more when you’ve just flown hundreds?? The train service from Glasgow Prestwick is around 45 minutes into central Glasgow.
Dundee and Inverness Airports each tend to offer only a handful of UK domestic flights each day.
